Custom Wire Harness Equipment | Wire Harness Equipment

Standard machines and custom turnkey lines for crimping, testing, welding and automated assembly of micro-rectangular, RF and military-grade connectors.

Custom Wire Harness Equipment | Wire Harness Equipment

Custom Wire Harness Equipment | Wire Harness Equipment in one sentence: This is the route when a standard machine will not fit your part. Mechanical design, controls, precision machining and system integration are done in one house, so the machine is built around your part, throughput target and quality standard rather than adapted to whatever the catalogue offers.

When a standard machine cannot fit your part, Lanneas designs and builds custom wire harness equipment around your product, throughput target and quality standard. We provide in-house mechanical design, controls, precision machining and system integration under one roof.

Where the Custom Wire Harness Equipment | Wire Harness Equipment fits

Where it does not fit

A custom build carries design time before manufacturing, so lead time is longer than a standard machine and the price reflects engineering, not only hardware. It also needs firm part drawings and samples early, because a change in the part after design start usually means rework.

Custom Wire Harness Equipment | Wire Harness Equipment — FAQ

When is custom the right choice?+
When your part geometry, process step or throughput target cannot be met by a standard machine. If the change is only fixturing, a modified standard is usually cheaper and faster, and that is worth checking first.
What do you need from us to start?+
Part drawings or samples, the throughput target, and the quality standard the machine has to meet. Firm samples early matter, because a part change after design starts usually means rework.
How long does a custom build take?+
Longer than a standard machine, because design comes before manufacturing. The schedule is confirmed per order once scope is fixed, and depends on how much new design the project needs.
Can you work to a customer or military standard?+
Yes. Inspection and documentation are selected to the standard the machine has to satisfy. State the standard in the enquiry so it is designed in rather than added later.
What are MOQ, lead time and quote response?+
MOQ is one set. Lead time is confirmed per order and depends on scope. Send drawings, samples, target output and the required standard for a written quote.
How is a custom machine commissioned overseas?+
Sample evaluation with measured data comes first, then remote commissioning and parameter tuning, with on-site operator training available. English documentation is provided.

FAQ

How to Choose Connector Automation Equipment

How do I choose the right connector automation machine?+
Start from the connector and the defect you must control: crimping accuracy, wire-sequence correctness, or pin retention. Then match throughput and the quality standard (GJB, IATF 16949). Send us a drawing and we recommend a machine or line.
Do you supply standard machines or only custom lines?+
Both. We ship standard crimpers, testers, welders and assembly cells, and also build custom turnkey lines around them using self-developed patents.
Can one machine handle multiple connector types?+
Yes. Digitized, storable recipes and quick change-over let a single machine cover many connector families, which lowers capital and floor-space cost.
How do your machines support quality traceability?+
Crimping and assembly equipment log force curves and per-cycle data and export via MES / OPC-UA, so any field failure traces back to the exact machine, recipe and time.
